CrossFit is a program of strengthening and physical conditioning designed to improve fitness and health. It is a training method consisting of constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Functional movements are those movements which take place every day in your daily life and that involve multiple muscle chains simultaneously (lift an object from Earth, carry an object above one’s head to place it on a shelf, etc.). CrossFit’s aim is to improve the ten basic elements of fitness:
